Reverberations

Silence, they say,

cannot be written.

Words, they say,

have no taste.

Language, they say

leaves no scent

and yet,

and yet

The song of your voice

moves inside me

still.

Comment: This poem began with repetition of a structure: X, the say …” Repeated structures are called parallelism and are a good way of creating rhythm in the spoken and written word.

Poetry Prompt: Experiment with parallelism: Borrow a structure and repeat it with variations.
